How to reach the Honeypot

By Car

From Edinburgh

Cross the Forth Road Bridge via the M90. Take the A92 towards Kirkcaldy, then the A915 east through Leven and Lundin Links. Continue on the A917 through the East Neuk villages (St Monans, Pittenweem, Anstruther) to Crail.

From St Andrews

~10 miles · 20 mins

Head south on the A917 coastal road — a beautiful scenic drive past Kingsbarns and along the coast to Crail.

From Glasgow

Take the M8 east to Edinburgh, then cross the Forth Road Bridge and follow the Edinburgh directions above. Alternatively, use the M80/M9 to Stirling and the A91 to St Andrews, then south to Crail.

Cross the Tay Road Bridge and head south through Leuchars and St Andrews on the A91/A917.

The Stagecoach 95 service connects Crail with St Andrews, Anstruther, and other East Neuk villages. Buses run approximately hourly. From Edinburgh, take a bus to St Andrews and change to the 95.

The nearest railway station is Leuchars (for St Andrews), approximately 15 miles north of Crail. Leuchars is on the Edinburgh–Dundee mainline with regular services. From Leuchars, take the Stagecoach bus or a taxi to Crail (~25 mins).

From Edinburgh Airport

Edinburgh Airport is approximately 60 miles from Crail (~1 hr 15 mins by car). You can hire a car at the airport, take a taxi, or travel by tram/bus to Edinburgh then onwards to Crail.
