What data we collect and why
Contact form enquiries
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest (responding to your request).
Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email via Resend, our email delivery provider. Your data is not shared with any other third party.
Booking information
If you book a room through our external booking provider, the booking provider will handle your personal data according to their own privacy policy. We receive the information necessary to fulfil your booking (name, contact details, dates of stay). We retain this information for the purposes of managing your stay and for our legal and accounting obligations.
Website analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to collect anonymous data about how visitors use our website. This includes pages visited, time spent on site, and general location (country/city level). IP addresses are anonymised by default in GA4.
This data helps us understand which pages are most useful and improve the website. You can opt out at any time by changing your .
Spam protection
We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect our contact form from spam and abuse. This is classified as an essential service and does not require consent. See Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
Embedded content
Our Contact page includes an embedded Google Map (with your consent). When loaded, Google may set cookies and collect data according to Google's Privacy Policy. The map is only loaded if you accept functional cookies.
How we protect your data
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served over HTTPS. We do not store personal data on the website itself. Contact form submissions are delivered directly to our email address and are not stored in any database.
How long we keep your data
- Contact form enquiries: We keep enquiry emails for as long as necessary to respond to your query, and then for up to 12 months for reference.
- Booking data: Retained for up to 6 years for accounting and legal purposes.
- Analytics data: Automatically deleted by Google after 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data
- Restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data
